It is the east, and Juliet is the sun. - Romeo
(Act 2 Scene 2 Line 2)
This quote was said at the balcony scene. Romeo is comparing Juliet to the sun because it is night, and she is so beautiful to him that she is like the sun at the moment. This also shows the contrast between light and dark that is emphasized throughout the play.

(Act 2 Scene 2 Line 33)
This quote is said by Juliet at the balcony scene. She is asking why does Romeo have to be her enemy, and if he doesn't refuse to be a Montague for them to be together, then she'll refuse herself as a Capulet.

(Act 3 Scene 1 Line 91)
This quote is said after the fight scene. Mercutio has been stabbed by Tybalt and says this. He means that his wound is just enough to kill him. and if you ask for him the next day he'll be dead by then.

(Act 3 Scene 1 Line 130)
Romeo says this after he kills Tybalt. He does this because Tybalt killed Mercutio. However, after he kills him, he realizes that Prince Escalus will severely punish him for it. They weren't supposed to have any more fights in the streets of Verona.

Juliet says this quote after the party where she met Romeo. It is right after when the nurse tells her that Romeo is a Montague. So, Juliet is saying how the person she is in love with is her enemy.

(Act 2 Scene 3 Line 94)
Friar Lawrence says this at the end of Scene 3 in Act 2. He is telling Romeo to be wise and not to rush things. He is also saying that those who hurry into things get themselves into troubles. He is saying this because Romeo is asking him to marry Juliet to himself. The Friar thinks that they is rushing into things because him and Juliet just met, and the last time Romeo visited him, he was in love with Rosaline.

(Act 2 Scene 2 Line 43)
Juliet says this at the balcony scene. She is saying that names aren't real important or powerful, because no matter what you call a rose, it is still the same flower. She wishes that Romeo's name as a Montague didn't mean so much to her family.

Lest that thy love prove likewise variable. - Juliet
(Act 2 Scene 2 Line 109)
Juliet says this to Romeo at the balcony scene. She is telling him not to swear by the moon, because it is always changing. He was telling her, "Lady, by yonder blessed moon I vow", meaning he swears to the moon his love for her. So, if Romeo swears by the moon, how would Juliet know for sure that he won't change his mind?
